Vanessa Walsh

Vanessa has completed Kumon's instructor training program and is a certified Kumon Instructor. She is the mother of two small boys and first learned about the Kumon program through her eldest son, Liam. Liam (then aged 4) came home from daycare one day saying that his friend attended Kumon and he wanted to join him......a recommendation from another 4 year old!
After a year of Kumon study, Liam's progress impressed Vanessa so much that she decided to become a Kumon Instructor! Vanessa is so excited about the awesome programs offered by Kumon, and about the way Kumon study gives children such a strong foundation in the core skills of Reading/Writing and Math.
Vanessa's background is as a Research Scientist. She received her BSc in Microbiology from University College Wales, Aberystwyth, followed by her PhD in Medical Genetics from the University Leicester, both in the U.K. Vanessa moved to the Pacific Northwest in the summer of 2000 and worked as a research scientist at the University of Washington for many years. |
